Have you read Psalm 104 in the bible? It’s a refreshing reminder to us of the truth of our daily life. The things that we should be focused on and reminded that are blessings unto us for living this life.
My favorite verses: Psalm 104:15 and wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
Psalm 104:18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks for conies.
Psalm 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

When you take a couple steps back on your path and observe your surroundings. Ever since I dropped my load on the floor and walked with just my back-pack (with my bible and Clinique lip gloss), what is bought to my attention is a lot quieter, more simple, soothing and joyful.
I could walk with my cosmetic bag full of beauty products, but if I only need my lip gloss, where am I going with everything else? When you travel, you can pack anything and everything, but when that suitcase goes on the scale, make sure your credit card is ready to load with fees for the extra, and your conscience can carry the stress of added expenses to your life.
I hope you choose walk the quieter path, it’s a lot easier.
As I prepare to share this post on my blog, there are two things I need to acknowledge in order to “Rise to the Occasion “.
(1) I need content. What am I going to say and why?
(2) Understanding there is an order set in place for me to be successful at the task that I’m setting out to achieve.
What the weather is doing today, has nothing to do with what I’m attempting to do here, so there’s no room for me to execute excuses for not getting it done.
Things that we “want” to do, we make sure the time is set for us to do it, unlike the things that require thought, time and work against our will.
Before I pressed the “publish” button to my post earlier this morning, I had to come to a level of understanding to this teaching.
My voice will not be heard if I don’t use it properly. That means acknowledging the right way of doing something and harken to it, without excuses.
Change can sometimes feel scary as we don’t know what’s waiting on the other side. Remember, that feeling you experience when change is abound, is only a feeling we create within ourselves. Acknowledge the presence of that feeling, asking why its there and if need be ask aloud when its going to leave. That’s what I do when I get an unexpected visit from fear.
