5 Things I do on Fridays

Of all the days of the week, I make the effort on Fridays to prepare for my weekend days.

With children, you really don’t have a choice in the matter, especially if productivity is a part of your lifestyle.

1: Paying all bills due in the present week.  Gives a sense of clarity in the financial aspect of my life.

2. Updating the children’s calendar with upcoming events/activities for the following week, gives both husband a Gage of the week ahead for the children and how it impacts our personal schedule

3. Over a cup of tea or coffee, depending on our preference, husband and I sit and discuss the weekend schedule. It may be our only time to spend a little quiet time with him, but I make sure to never fall short on this todo especially.  Plus it’s the start of the Shabbat and we mentally prepare the family for that too.

4. Empty all laundry hampers. I don’t want anything to do with laundry on my weekends.

5.  Always keep a bottle of wine in the house. I enjoy with my dinner on the Sabbath and maybe a glass before bedtime.

I believe having a little order in certain parts of your life, your walk can take a completely different perspective to those that just exist.

Do you have things you only do on certain days?

7 things Simple living is for me

I consider myself one of the lucky ones, when I think about my life journey and the point I’ve reached thus far.

I say lucky because I know what I want in my life, but MOST IMPORTANT, I know what I DON’T WANT in my life. When you don’t know these things,  is when problems and confusion can make a presence in your and stick around whether they were invited or not.

I call my state of mind and living simple.  Now don’t get me wrong, simple doesn’t mean easy by any means.  Don’t make that mistake, because in order for simple to take precedence the choices you need to make may not be comfortable for everyone.
7 things I do to live a simple life.

  • I plan the time to work on tasks that require “more” of me.  Don’t ask me to come learn to change a tire, when I’m about to make myself a coffee.  It’s not happening.
  • If the family is planning the schedule or events, I’m vocal from the start with my husband so id he about my yes’ and no’s to everything
  • If I don’t have time right now, I’ll let you know
  • Limit major tasks that need major attention to only two per day.  There’s only so many hours in the day
  • Seek joy in saying YES to NO when it’s required.
  • Reference my Proverbs and Psalms daily, limit how much junk mail I put in my system
  • Where I am, Water is right beside me, as a reminder to drink some everyday

Sounds easy enough?  I think so.  I’ve never been a YES girl to everything and how I need to live in this life to survive is extremely important to me, especially my health (mental included).
How do  you do simple in your life?

Every day is good

Have you read Psalm 104 in the bible?  It’s a refreshing reminder to us of the truth of our daily life.  The things that we should be focused on and reminded that are blessings unto us for living this life.

My favorite verses: Psalm 104:15 and wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.

Psalm 104:18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks for conies.

Psalm 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

When you take a couple steps back on your path and observe your surroundings.  Ever since I dropped my load on the floor and walked with just my back-pack (with my bible and  Clinique lip gloss), what is bought to my attention is a lot quieter, more simple, soothing and joyful.

I could walk with my cosmetic bag full of beauty products, but if I only need my lip gloss, where am I going with everything else?  When you travel, you can pack anything and everything, but when that suitcase goes on the scale, make sure your credit card is ready to load with fees for the extra, and your conscience can carry the stress of added expenses to your life.

I hope you choose walk the quieter path, it’s a lot easier.

Hello Spring, I’ve sprung too!

I’m so excited for the new spring season to come upon us and ignite my new discovered passion for my life and the new experiences into it.  The earth is giving birth again, and I feel like I’m being born again too.  This new blog has been put into my lap, the voice inside of me is waiting for me to put the words together, and I’m not really sure how.  Does that ever happen to you?

Not very often am I caught in this predicament, twiddling my fingers together not knowing what to do next.  Patience is definitely present with me, and I’m going to listen to its calling.

3 Things I know, I’m looking forward to this spring and sharing;

  • Starting my vegetable garden
  • Sinking deeper into my Life Coaching course and hopefully practice training
  • Travelling deeper into the world of the bloggers I follow and discovering new ones.

The blogging world is huge, if I can’t find you, please LIKE so I can discover you too.  Have a great spring 2018!

Submitting to my notebook

Since starting my new Life Coaching course, my mind and spirit have taken a whole new meaning to how I conduct my life on a daily basis.

I purchased fantastic notebooks for my notes from Indigo, hoping they would keep me motivated throughout the journey.  No need however, the motivation was present before I even arrived at my desk and pull the notebooks out.  I find myself to be in complete submission to the course, the exercises and the experience.  My notebook and pens have taken on a brand new relationship.  I have to admit I can’t say the same when I was studying accounting.  Is that because Passion wasn’t part of the equation?  Will see I suppose.
